I love me a bomber. I really do. Don’t get me started on this dreamy Acne bomber.
I wanted to shake things up a bit, so recently picked up this Alpha bomber from ASOS. I love the longline length, and I do wax nostalgic with Alpha jackets, as I used to wear vintage parkas from Alpha back in the 90s. Great to see the brand fitting right in here in 2016. This shade of green is perfect with denim, black & white stripes (which are a huge staple in my wardrobe) and some trainers. Kudos to the stylist at ASOS for getting this look spot on. They currently have an extra 10% off clearance items so there are some great bargains to be had! For some alternative bombers, scroll down.
How cute is this pink bomber from Romwe . At just over £18 it’s a real steal and could jazz up a monochromatic wardrobe without being too overly colour-rich.
I browsed Zara the other day and was drooling over this cutie. Yes Zara often knock off other designer items , but this one is such a cool tribute to Anya Hindmarsh’s sticker motif bags — at a great price point too, I find it hard to resist. So adorable.

I’ve decided I need to start using a backpack again. Not only are they super stylish but they’re better for my back and neck. After travelling 18,000 miles over the Christmas holidays, I realised I can’t run through airports with an across-body bag laden with all sorts of junk.
I’ve been browsing the sales furiously and came across 2 similar and cool leather mini-backpacks. One for a fraction of the price as the other.
now :£90.00 original: £180.00
not on sale :£340
I’m always looking for new bargains, but more than that I just love fashion and I love clothes. I love the hunt.
One of my favourite things about TheOutnet.com is their super sales you get access to via their newsletter. Every week or two they send out emails with access to an extra 40% off their already reduced items. (Their items are past-season things, I believe from their sister company Net-A-Porter.com.)
For example today I found a few things I had my eye on for ages.
Check out how much I could save with these 2 pieces :
Yes over £250 ! Now even if I wore them a couple times and Ebay’d them I’d still come out in the black most likely.
With brands like R13, Rag & Bone, Current/Elliott which are quite pricey full price, I’m quite happy to buy something last season that I know I’ll love from these brands. I keep items in my wish list and wait for further reductions.

When I was growing up my mother and grandmother were both very adamant that when you get a letter or a gift you always send a thank you note. I’m trying to pass this message on to my daughter also, even if she’s just emailing her grandparents to thank them for something.
In this age of fast-fast-internet-everything I was really blown away to get this package in the post from Diptyque @ Westbourne Grove yesterday. Not only did I receive four free samples which smell amazing, but they took the time to write me a hand-written note to tell me about it.
Really blown away by the customer service. Thank you 🙂
I haven’t decided which sample is my fave yet — I’ve kind of mixed them all together on my wrists/arms and it smells quite nice together 🙂
#latergram from our New York trip – I was waiting for my chilled italian red wine to arrive – was hard to cope – we found a great italian place near Union Square 🍷
